I finally "shopped my closet" for school clothes since school starts next week. I was pleasantly surprised. Many clothes fit better than expected. I haven't lost much weight over the summer but evidently I've lost an inch or two. I guess all that walking this summer really paid off. My goal is to walk for 30 min. each morning before I get ready for school. It'll be dark but I'll take a flashlight. Another goal is to walk 30 min in the evenings 5x/week.
When school starts, I'll be teaching 6 classes at the high school and two classes at the college 2 nights/week. I hope the stress hormone doesn't skyrocket and cause me to gain more weight. Maybe I'll be burning more calories so I'll lose a little weight...we'll see. I think walking will help to reduce the stress.
My final goal is to NOT focus so much to the scales. The book I read about intuitive eating has helped me a lot. I used to weight myself 3x/day. Now I'm weighing about 2x/week. Living a healthy lifestyle is much more important than the number on the scales. It might take me a year to lose 30 lbs. but at least I'll be doing it in a healthy way. Good luck FS buddies on your weightloss journey!

Walking will def help keep cortisol low. There are also several herbs that help including rhodiola, ashwaghanda and even vitamin C is a help. :)
