Well another week gone and I have to say I'm really pleasantly surprised with the results. Down 5.8! Woohoo! Thing about it is, I know I fudged a bit this past week and didn't touch the treadmill at all. I was mindful of what I was eating. I had a couple of textbook dinners this week (social studies adopts textbooks every 7 years and the publishers come a courtin' with food and free stuff, teachers just love it). I was shocked that they provided mostly WW friendly foods. I didn't trust them on the front end and tried to eat before I went. End result, I kinda ended up eating twice. My foot has also been hurting this week so I sat there watching tv and staring at the treadmill all week. I did do dumb bell exercises for my under arm flab (I no longer write on the chalk board in front of the kids while wearing short sleeves because they burst out into ridiculous laughter at the sight of my arms waving back at them while I write). I'd probably be laughing too if I could see it. I also did some crunches with the ab-roller thingy. It actually works really well. I read somewhere though that you can't target spots for fat burning, only muscle toning and that makes sense. It said that you have to be burning fat for those trouble areas to lose the fat while you tone the muscle underneath the fat. It makes sense to me, therefore, I need to do my cardio (walking on the treadmill). Appearantly, staring at the treadmill and thinking really hard about working out on it will do the trick. Week before last when I was walking like a fiend I lost a little over a pound. Needless to say, I'm not entirely motivated to walk on the treadmill this week, lol. My main motivation this week is that I'm a little over 5 pounds from my first 10% goal. I really want to make it this week. I never made my first goal last go round on WW. My husband has done it twice and it's ticking me off! He also reached a personal goal this week. He has now lost more weight than ever before on any of the many diets he's tried in his adulthood. He has now lost 53.4 pounds! Woohoo! Hope you have a great week!
