Definately home cook the meal. There is a lot of oil and ghee used when they make takeaways. Cut away all fat from the meat and only add a tablespoon of oil when cooking. Skip the creams and use tomatoes and water rather to make alot of gravy. If you want it creamy, you can use coconut milk instead. Instead of potatoes, use butter beans, cabbage or greenbeans. Also swop out the normal rice for basmati rice. And also remember to practice portion control. Rather add a salad to bulk up the meal than rice. Also chilli is great for speeding up the metabolism. Try to use good quality spices that can be bought from any Indian supermarket. Avoid the spices that are bought from pick n pay or woolies as they may be mixed with other things.
