"Naughty but Nice". A classic memorable line from an advert for fresh cream back home when I was a kid! (Noticed that nearly all my memories seem to concern heavy cream?)

Well today I had a naughty but nice moment. My husband and 2/3 kids went to Ann Arbor, Michigan. It is such a beautiful university town that you must try and visit at least just for the architecture.

Anyway, we got hungry and decided to eat food. We spotted an Indian restaurant and my husband got a craving for Dosa, which is basically a rice flour crepe stuffed with potatoes. I protested but he said "You have been dieting so religiously that one day wont hurt". Needless to say, my protests went on deaf ears.

I was really annoyed because I know that Indian vegetarian restaurants lack two things, Meat and salads!! So I was compelled to eat the Dosa and then I thought, 'fine you have blown your induction anyway' (Mothers day would have been my last day!!!)

So I ordered a potato samosa. Its like a potato stromboli and it tasted like heaven. I really really wanted to just have a spoonful or so but the cravings kicked in and I wiped my plate clean.

Indian foods always are accompanied by wonderfully exotic sauces like coconut chutney and tamarind sauce (tamarind is a very sour-sweet fruit, looks like a brown broad bean) so those got wiped down as well.

OK..here is the possible redemption. First of all, I had recently purchased these carb blocker tablets that supposedly will stop absorption of carbs. (This was prior to me starting Atkins and I never had the opportunity to use it because I was being such a good girl on my induction that I never needed it.)

I had taken these carb tablets with me because I was concerned about where we would end up eating. So I took the two required tablets immediately before eating and 1 for extra luck immediately after eating.

Then as soon as I got home, I got onto the treadmill. I have a challenge with Sharonfrizz to enter at least one thing on our exercise diary every day and I didnt want to let her down. I ended about 1.5 hours on the treadmill just trying to keep a plan B...burn off the carbs consumed in case the tablets were useless.

So it was a naughty day that ended nicely. I felt less guilty once I had burnt 650 calories!

(Oompah loompahs if there ever was a time I needed you to show me I am still burning fat..I need you to poke me tonight. Mine away boys!)

When you go off the eating plan, you go all the way girl!! But oh did that food sound good. I've never had Indian food so I guess I better steer clear of that. Looks like you got those oompah loompahs working to burn it off too! Kudos to you for that! :)
