So, 21 pounds lost since I began this journey on Aug. 13...yeah! I have some sixty more to go before I reach my ideal goal, but the scale is going down. I am wondering if I should change my goal weight. Instead of having this one supreme goal that is way down the road, perhaps I should have a stage 1 goal, a stage 2 goal, and a final goal. To be honest, I am not sure what that magic figure at the end will be. I want a weight that is right for my size/build. I want to feel comfortable in my skin, but I do not want to try to maintain a weight that requires so much work to maintain that I don't get to enjoy my size (if that makes sense). At 20 years old, 130 might have been an ideal weight...but at 40, it might be really tough to maintain. I am looking at this change in my diet as a life style change, but I do want to get that the point where I can indulge in some ice cream now and then without having to panic that my jeans won't fit.
My goal for the next two weeks...I want that second number to be an 8, instead of a 9. I don't care if the scale says 189...it's still an eight!
