The depression, anxiety, and overwhelment I was experiencing earlier this week have eased. Also, I finally learned something that actually helps me sleep - breathing meditation (not other kinds). I learned this because I slept better than ever the three days in a row I did it and then when I didn't do it- back to normal. My only complaint is that although I feel that exercise and meditation are both necessary for my optimum health, they take up so much time. Whine whine whine. :) But I always think of a zen saying which goes, if you think you don't have time to meditate, you don't have time not to. Which is my case is probably true. :) By the way, I know that meditation isn't really exercise as we normally think of it. But I consider it my brain's exercise, which is why I list it in that category in my daily wellness tracking here.
I am off to a very late start this morning, which is okay, because I have already worked ridiculous overtime. I don't normally get that TGIF feeling (I'm always thinking, what's the big deal? I'm still working!) but this week was so rough I am getting a little excited that the weekend is almost here! I guess that's a good sign that I don't have anything too horrendous on my plate to deal with today- that we know of. I like to think I cleaned up all this week's emergencies already! I'm trying not to get too excited, but I am up for a promotion into a job that will also be more enjoyable and less taxing, if my organization gets a certain grant we applied for. I should find out in about 10 days, but that date of determination has already been postponed so it could be postponed again.

your journal is inspirational... being able to handle things in a natural manner is admirable too.
It seems like there were a few of us that had rough weeks.. perhaps it was the moon cycle that effected people.
Have a good day.. and celebrate the TGIF feeling. :)

Really very inspirational journal cindy! Earlier, I used to meditate only once a week but then when I had anxiety attack my doc told me to meditate on regular basis. Now I'm doing meditation daily 15 minutes) which helped me to reduce stress and anxiety a lot. You rightly said that meditation is a brain exercise, after all stress, anxiety, depression is all in our brain only and when we medidate it helps to reduce the symptoms. In my case yoga, walking and meditation helped a lot.
Have a Happy weekend Cindy!
