Butterflies...today I am another year older and I live to tell about it...a total blessing, but with it comes with fact I am aging, and look it. The sparkle is fading, but thankfully not lost.
I was hoping to be at goal weight by now, and I am not. I have no one to blame but myself because it did not happen.
That said, months ago; I promised myself that today, I would enjoy this one day of eating what I wanted, that it would be my day...but all I can think about is my positive xray...another breast lump. Suddenly having a decadent food day doesn't seem to have to same excitement attached to it as I thought it would.
Before I got the results, I was actually trying to narrow my list of foods I missed the most, but it's noon here, and I still haven't eaten one bite of food. I can't commit to eating something carby, because it's always just a quick fix. As I've said, I have thought about what foods I miss most, but also believe if I go off just this one day, I can't say I am in control and mean it.
I decided this several months ago, but is planning one day off a year still a committment? Who knows...will I do it anyway? Yes, I will have some type of carby food today...but will keep my day under 2000 calories.

Happy Birthday Kimm. Sorry to hear about your lump. How long do you have to wait to find out if it is a 'serious' lump or do you already know? You wouldn't enjoy your 'day' today anyway with this hanging over you and it may turn into 'carbocide' . Why not wait till 'goal'. You have such a little way to go! Happy Birthday, one day late. I hope it was all you wanted it to be and you celebrated well. Take it from a grayed haired, older lady...life has its ups and downs, but even through the tough times, I'd still choose having more birthdays! It's all relative and I've seen some awefully young 80 yo and some awefully old 20 yo! As for the positive mammogram...my prayer is for a beneign cyst.

Happy belated birthday! So sorry to hear about the troubling x-ray. Life just keeps throwing you curve balls, doesn't it? You are an amazing person for continually picking yourself up and moving on and you should feel extremely proud! (I hope you had some dark chocolate for your carby treat!)

happy birthday kimm. sorry you're not feeling amazing. as k8y8 said, you always pick yourself up and see the big picture. don't worry about the outcome, until someone tells you to. i know it's a lot to take in all at once, but you have dealt with much worse, and that's what made you who you are today. hope you didn't do anything you'll regret, but only you can make that decision. see you soon!!!
