I had a nasty suspicion yesterday's record low might not hold for long, but I'm not unduly concerned, because I know this is just water fluctuations. It's interesting how I got a record low after a "high" calorie day, but that was then immediately followed by a bit of a gain after a "low" calorie day.
Anyway, I followed my diet plan 100% again yesterday. It was really hard, because we went to a friend's house for drinks and nibbles in the afternoon, so I was surrounded by plates of food, including some delicious-looking cakes. I just nibbled on a couple of carrot and cucumber sticks (avoiding the accompanying dips!) and let my husband and little boy eat the cake! Very tough, particularly as I was STARVING!!
I also did an hour of cardio yesterday. That did take my calorie deficit to almost 1,000 for the day, so perhaps that might have caused the gain. I was going to try to limit my deicits to a maximum of 1,000, but perhaps even that's a little high - more experimentation needed yet!
Hope everyone is having a great weekend - *see* you tomorrow for my official weekly weigh-in! :)

Your record low weight will show up on the scales again very soon. Those new numbers often play a game of peek-a-boo for the first day or two. Awesome self control at your friend's house! Seeing as you were starving at that made your efforts even more difficult, I would suggest for the next time you know you are going to a friend's/party/social gathering that you have something healthy to eat before you leave home. That way your screaming tummy won't drown out your voice of reason! I love how you and so many other fatsecreters are really tuning into their bodies and the cause and effect of exercise and different calorie/food consumption. Everyone has become so good at tweaking and customizing their eating and activity plans to obtain optimum, healthy results. Good luck on your "official" weigh in!

That was quite an inspirational entry! I don't know if I could have resisted on an empty stomach. And that exercise! Your doing great! Keep it up!

Thank you both for your lvely comments! I did try to do the right thing, by having my main meal (a nice, healthy kedgeree) before we went out. Unfortunately, we were there until around 6, by which time lunch was a distant memory, and the cakes in particular were calling out to me!! Good job I did resist them, or today's gain might have been even worse! :o
