You wouldn't think as I'm way south near the Guatemala border, but we have 3 Korean restaurants, a Korean Vegan deli and 3 Korean hostels so we have Kimchi here. The Napa Cabbage is difficult to find however, so most just use the European cabbage but the kimchi here is not as spicy as it should be. The Korean deli place makes a pretty good Kkakdugi, radish kimchi, but they use regular American radishes as the others aren't found here. Maybe they would be in Mexico City but I've never checked. I make my own Kimchi usually as the stuff here is pretty tame. I bring down a big bag of Gochugaru every trip I take to the States. I also stock up on Nuruk to make homemade Makgeolli. Good stuff :)

I actually smuggled Chinese cabbage seeds down with me one time but haven't found anyone here to grow it yet. :)
