Changing my day off from dedicated exercise from tomorrow to today. There's a front coming through that should drop our temps a bit and, thankfully, should drop this blasted humidity back into the realm of reasonable! Besides, DH had to go sing for a funeral this AM, so wanted us to have our pancakes early, if possible. And you know I can't forego my Saturday pancakes! Plus....it began to rain just as DH was heading back for home with the doggies early this AM.

Having already done my weekly grocery shopping, I'll be working this weekend on getting rid of some of the v-a-s-t clutter in our bedroom so I can eventually paint it next weekend. If all goes well, I'll be de-cluttering and then moving out some pieces of furniture. Hopefully, all the walls will be more accessible so I can begin to wash some of the areas, spackle some holes, and then mask the woodwork (and there's lots of it).....all in advance of painting beginning on Friday. With any luck, we'll only spend one night in another bedroom while the paint dries, but I want to make it no more than 2 nights, if it needs another coat.

Part of the clutter that needs to be dealt with is still more clothing - it seems to never end! There's a relief agency that will be coming through the neighborhood on Tuesday to pick up any donations, so I know I can unload a bit through them.

I'm probably getting bogged down into deciding exactly where would be the best place for each piece: the thrift where I volunteer, the thrift where I can consign, this agency that's coming on Tuesday, or putting some things on eBay, but I'd also have to learn how to do that! A part of me wants to just scoop everything up, get it out of the house, and be DONE with it! That's still very much a possibility - LOL!

Foods and weight are going very well. Got back into my Maintenance range on Thursday.

I know the struggles of sorting and getting rid of stuff. Have been sorting through clothes today and have 5 pair of dress slacks laying across the bed. I was saving them for an "emergency". Then I got to thinking - what kind of emergency would require me to wear a pair of ill fitting dress slacks? Off to Goodwill they will go.

Clutter, I hate it too. I am going through stuff little by little and send it off to the folk, like the Vets, who pick it up. "what kind of emergency would require me to wear a pair of ill fitting dress slacks?" Buffy's comment...LOLOLOL too funny!

Buffy, your "emergency" dress pants remind me of the "painting clothes" I used to keep. With all the "painting clothes" I had, I could wear different clothes to paint every room in every house we ever owned and STILL have clothes left over! Must be a pack rat somewhere in my geneology....LOL!

Gigi...I LOVE the groups that let you know they're coming through on a specific date and then I can just leave it all out by the curb. That forces me to do a little decluttering every time I get that postcard or phone call. And, except for one time, they've always come through when they say they're going to.
