Walked 3.1 miles on Saturday; day off on Sunday; headed to the gym today.

I accidentally left my coupon folder at the grocery store yesterday, so I went back to see if they had it in Lost & Found (they did - yay!). After retrieving my coupons, I stopped at the gym on my way back home and did almost 45 minutes on the elliptical. I'll do another elliptical routine on Friday, as well, due to being in the neighborhood of the gym then.

DH decided to bake chocolate chip cookies for his assistant's birthday this week...that was my signal to LEAVE the house for the afternoon! I headed to the thrift shop where I volunteer and spent the afternoon working there, as many of the same folks from Wednesday also volunteer on Mondays.

I'm struggling in getting the right balance of foods these days. Mostly, it's due to changing up some of the foods I'm eating, so I'm out of my automatic comfort zone, I guess. But, I'll eventually get it. I can always go back to the exact menus I had in April or May, if I feel I need to.

Yesterday was a problem for me. I think I was too tired (so typical for Sundays), so I was grumpy and out-of-sorts all day long which led to eating too much. It really was all emotional eating, which I thought I had had under better control. Oh well, still work to be done in that area. I also wonder if it has anything to do with me adding some carbs and calories this past week. I know that sometimes a bad mood is just a bad mood, but I also want to be aware of possible food connections. I'll be pulling back a bit this week....just in case.

Your journal entry is very helpful for me this morning. I am changing the KINDS of foods I am eating also & I feel DIFFERENT. Not bad - just different. To replace hot dogs, hamburger, and roast with turkey burger, chicken breast & no fat cheese seems odd.

W4, until I began this WOE, I never thought food had this kind of an effect on me. Of course, eating way too much and getting stuffed evoked a different feeling, but in general, I never thought various foods would affect me differently....but they DO! Amazing....
